see: yellow submarine

how very, very cool is this!?
for those people who love tea as much as i do,
this is perhaps one of the coolest things i have seen.

all i can hear in my head right now is:
'we all live in a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, yellow submarine...'

see: deep blues, violets, and sparks of gold

i love sunday suppers
as it inspires many of us to take dinners and table settings
to a whole new level!
brilliant people - artists, renowned chefs, stylists, photographers, etc -
all come together and participate in this 'class-cookin-dining experience'.
anyway, i really really love the winter dinner series.
i love the richness of the colour palette, and yes,
i love, love, love the terrariums that were
incorporated in this setting!

do: framed wall collages

i bought a ton of white frames
of different shapes and sizes
so i can finally put up some of
my favourite photos from all of my travels.
i want to create an asymmetrical vignette
but i wasn't sure as to how to approach this.
so i did some research for inspiration and tips
on how to create a wall of framed photos:

i will update on how mine turns out soon!

love: monograms

slightly vain
but plenty awesome!

anthropologie

(p.s. i bought some of the monogrammed porcelain cups to repurpose
as 'vases' for short stemmed blooms. )

see: pale blue

over the weekend
i bought this pretty blue dress
from bcbg
(and i also had a lot of greek food and beer
at the taste of the danforth festival here in toronto):

... and something about wearing it
makes me imagine that
i own a summer home in the maldives
with an interior as crisp and beautiful as this:

... but really and truly,
i am more than happy that in reality:

touch: cuddly clouds

so, while perusing the internet, i luckily stumbled upon
the artist (donna wilson) who makes
the soft lambswool blankets that can
make you cozy as a posie
that i mentioned in my prior post.

and since the sun has just been to shy
to come out this summer,i figured
why not share some more of her work
that make rain clouds just a little
more easy to love when sunshine has been
so, so scarce.

see: hazy blues, sheer taupe, and faded yellows

are colours shared by
this charming victorian apartment in chicago
and burberry prorsum.
(not to mention, the gloomy summer we have been having here in toronto.
i take comfort in the fact that even blue-gray skies
have a story to tell and the ability to inspire).

love: if i were a boy...

i would love to have the following in my dream bathroom:

+ wooden sink

+ shampoo and soap dispenser

+ bamboo towels

+ teak bathmat

see: terrariums

the glass sieves light
gently refracting
a million unseen wonders
upon those patiently
waiting until
there is nothing left to do
but grow...
