love: monograms

slightly vain
but plenty awesome!
all from your one-stop-inspiration shop
anthropologie

(p.s. i bought some of the monogrammed porcelain cups to repurpose
as 'vases' for short stemmed blooms. )

all of us have
once-upon-a-time's
as if our lives were a book.
and sometimes it is hard
not to want to flip back
to old pages
just to make sure
that everything up to where you are now
is where you are supposed to be
and that everything before
is just as it was and will remain unchanged
no matter how many times
you go back
the story remains the same:
once upon a time you were 19
and it was July
and you believed in meant-to-be's...

letter: dear heart

to let go
is to be unselfish.

to be unselfish
is to love.

to love
is to let go.

(and so it goes...
so it goes...)

feel: crisp autumn days

al and i spent a beautiful autumn afternoon
raking leaves in his front yard
and i found some pretty autumnal things
to gather and take photos of...

and now we're indoors again
eating warm herb chicken soup
melba toast
and sharp cheddar cheese...

do: a great indoor adventure

we built an indoor fort
ate grilled cheese
drank warm yummy beverages
had popcorn
and chocolate covered
peanuts & raisins
and watched a movie
in our flannel pj's
(in our fort complete with
a secret password!)

love: hummingbird bakery, notting hill

i can't tell you how delicious
these precious little cupcakes
are (especially the red velvet)!
and who doesn't love pretty
pastel buttercream frosting
and sprinkles?
even their packaging
with the little pink hummingbird silhouette
is adorable!
if you are ever in notting hill,
do pay hummingbird bakery a visit.
and if it happens to be summer, sit outside
the bakery and people watch
(so many brilliantly dressed folks around there)
while satisfying your sweet tooth.
